Great piece Michael. We were there on Tues. & Thurs., and the judge shut down the constitutional argument, we think a big mistake. The recent Trump vs Colorado case in the US Supreme Court nullified Colorado's attempt to keep Trump off the ballot, which should bolster Bobby's claims. As you know, even the higher level courts in NYS are compromised, but if this case moves to the Supreme Court, Bobby will prevail. Of course this lawfare kept him off the campaign trail for a week, which is the clear goal of the DNC funded ClearChoice PAC; stall, delay, drain your coffers, and keep all 3rd party candidates off the ballot.

We need a plan to spotlight New York for this glaring anti-democratic strategy. Is there precedent for class action, against this type of subversion?

Very disappointing to see just a small group of supporters in front of the Court House! Where were the 135.000 people reported by his campaign who signed for him to be in New-York ballot? Bobby fight for restoring a real democracy and our futur in this Country, time to fight for him as hard as he does for us! Letting him down cannot be an option or else it is being complicit with all what he fights against and we will not have the right to complain about anything😔😡

Dick Cheney, a Texas resident, claimed Wyoming as his state of residence to be able to be on the "ticket" as VP with Presidential candidate George W Bush. He had been a U.S. Congressional Rep for a Wyoming district from 1979 to '89 but was a resident of Texas at the time of the George W Bush Pres campaign. There were no lawsuits against Cheney's action. As a wolf in the world of U.S. politics, Dick Cheney knew how to manipulate multiple presidents and apparently the system in general.

The Pres and the VP may not be "from" the same state, ever since the 12th Amendment, ratified in 1804, re-organized the job of the electors - understandable in the context of the time. States' rights was the biggest bone of contention during the Continental Congress. The states were independent until the nation was formed. Remember from social studies and U.S. History courses how hard it was to write and have the Constitution ratified?

Apparently RFK Jr's atty advised him to claim residency in NYS because that is where he votes and pays income taxes. He had owned property in Westchester County, a house where he'd lived with his 2nd wife until they entered into separation. A few years after her suicide, the property was sold and by then he was with Cheryl Hines in CA. The two of them had been introduced to one another by Larry David with whom Bobby had been living temporarily during his separation from his 2nd wife - so he narrated on an interview posted on social media.

His professional career, rooted in New York, makes sense of his identifying himself as a New Yorker:

From the biased, now untrustworthy Wikipedia, the following is nevertheless unmistakeably true:

"He became an adjunct professor of Environmental Law at Pace University School of Law in 1986.[4] In 1987, he founded Pace's Environmental Litigation Clinic, where he held the positions of supervising attorney and co-director until 2017.[5] He founded the nonprofit environmental group Waterkeeper Alliance in 1999, serving as the president of its board."

I personally knew of his work with Riverkeeper an his position at PACE when I went on an informational interview at the Law School's Admissions Office.

Bobby is not cunning like Dick Cheney was and it looks like running off to CA to chase after another skirt - what powerful men do, more successfully than the not powerful male - got him off kilter with his New York based career and identity - not to justify the ugly foolish political animals bringing the lawsuit against him over state residency requirements. But moving his deceased wife's grave away from the Kennedy Family plot to an unmarked grave and unmarked area next to traffic, independently of family members, digging up the grave on his own, reminds me of how he dropped of a bear in Central Park. The same sense of independence from social norms and group think that we admire in him causes him in my opinion to act like the addict or.alcoholic who needs to do some self-inventory taking in the area of "false" pride.
