Pretty sure NYS already has a data base to track vaccine status. In 2022 my doctor searched the NYSIIS and found d I did not have the cv vax. I have proof of this.
But if you do get a vaccine, the person administering it is supposed to ASK YOU if you want it entered into the database. Many don't ask, and illegally just enter you in. If you get a vaccine and don't want it entered in the database you should tell them you do not consent, and they will likely not enter it.
The problem is once it OFFICIALLY becomes mandatory then it will be near 100% accurate. And then they will no everyone in NY State who HAS NOT gotten vaccinated.

But it is voluntary, not mandatory - currently opt-in, not opt-out. They want to change that

My comments to my doctors are “we are not discussing vaccines” right at the beginning of my appointment.
