Resolution 5, the "Let Us Work" Reso, has been PULLED OFF THE CITY COUNCIL AGENDA
There will be NO VOTE on the "Let Us Work" Resolution 5 tomorrow, 12-19-24, it has been removed from the calendar
This is extremely disappointing and we don’t know what happened, but there will be no vote of RESOLUTION 5 tomorrow in City Council. Someone somewhere intervened to stop it, and we don’t know who or why.
To be clear - THIS DOES NOT MEAN OUR FIGHT IS OVER, NOT AT ALL. THE BATTLE WILL CONTINUE MOVING FORWARD. STAY TUNED FOR MORE UPDATES IN THE DAYS AHEAD.
Why, in a democracy, it's ok for the law makers to stop a vote on something that is an issue?
Perhaps because we have been living in neofeudalism masquerading as democracy.
But knowing that, now we can actually demand democracy.
