Sickens me that those unions still aren’t there for their workers. Actions certainly do speak louder than words!

Maybe all the legal representation can draft an official letterhead to these unions instead of a random request that they already know will be brushed aside. Have the lawyers charge a flat fee. What's the disadvantage?

Unions don't care about lawyer opinions. They do care about their members opinions

It's been over 4 years now. Member outreach isn't working.

Absolutely true - it won't work every time. This ask is very, very small. It is asking for a vote on a rule change DCAS has already approved in NYC. That's not a big ask so I do believe it is worth applying pressure. It is also worth contacting your friends in the union who got the shots to call on our behalf too. That will go a long way.

I'm in the same boat as you and would consider returning if the circumstances were right. Yet, it feels like we’re blundering into each situation without strategy, while the city keeps gaining free data at our expense. The DCAS hearing, scheduled right before a new administration without clear dates or reliable info, was nothing more than a farce. Let's face it: we're no longer regarded warmly by our former colleagues. They might claim otherwise, but most react rather than innovate. I admire all efforts to improve things without resorting to litigation, but simply lighting a fire under the issue without it won't lead us anywhere.

There is tons of litigation that is ongoing. Our efforts are in addition to that, no in lieu...
