The original case definition was extremely broad (think unconstitutionally vague), then the CDC removed symptoms from the definition in 2023 (for an illegitimate reason via improper procedure). Covid was never defined means all policy relying on cases as a basis for reasoning are void. The mandate is void. It's not that it was a good mandate and they just didn't give religious exemptions to it.
I hear you that courts are loath to argue about science. But look at the definitions. It is not a question about science, it's that there is no possibility of science being done, it's that all reasoning based on case counts is necessarily invalid in itself.
