After TEACHERS FOR CHOICE took to social media drawing attention to the fact that the Republican candidate for the special election in New York congressional District 3, Mazi Pilip, had no stated position on Medical Freedom, she issued a statement sent to us one hour ago regarding fired unvaccinated workers from NYC. This comes on the evening before the special election happening tomorrow, February 13, likely to occur during a snowstorm. Nearly all the schools in the district have already announced they will be closed.
We appreciate this statement as it represents the only information we have from either candidate in regards to Medical Freedom. However there is no mention of where she stands on bodily autonomy, parental rights, medical mandates for children or exemptions.
Nevertheless we appreciate the campaign getting this statement to us, and we hope this represents a willingness to work closer when the general election is upon us in just a few months (Mazi will have to run again in that election).
We present Mazi’s statement below (and attached as pdf)

Statement from Mazi Pilip on fired NYC workers.
"Our city's frontline workers stepped up to lead us during the pandemic. They should be celebrated for their service to their country during an incredibly challenging time, not fired because of mandates from NYC, Albany or Washington. I fully support rehiring them."
I think the next generation of politicians are afraid of us now. That's why they have to kind of throw us a bone.
Wonderful 🤓
A little late posting this now....they already supported the Democrat
